Sasha and Sal - Babies have arrived

Four blue and white bi-color kittens were born on Feb. 3 to Sal and Sasha. All are doing well. I will post individual pictures of each kitten when they open their eyes. All the kittens in this litter are spoken for.

Sasha went for a her check-up and x-rays to try and determine how many kittens we can expect yesterday. All is well and we can expect at least four kittens. Kitten are due between Feb 1st to the 5th. Getting very excited :)

Some general information about purchasing one of our kittens.

The kittens go to their new homes at 14 weeks of age, fully vaccinated and altered. They are sold with a contract that states that the kitten is to be an indoor-only cat and not to be de-clawed. For more information on de-clawing, see the link on the left "Maxshouse". This Web Site has links to many other articles.

When you decide to purchase a kitten, I will be asking a lot of questions. This helps me understand you life style and match a kitten that will be right for you. Some kittens are shy and would do better in a home with older children, while others are bold and rambunctious and would love to spend their day in an active home. I do ask for a Vet reference, if you have other pets, how old and what kinds of pets you may have. My kittens are raised with our wonderful Murphy Mutt, a Newfie/Lab/Chow mix. He loves the babies and give them regular washings. :)

Shipping: I will ship kittens by Northwest or Continental Airlines only. The fee for shipping is around $350.00. This includes a carrier, health certificate, shipping fees for the most direct flight and transportation costs. The cost is estimated and is just to give an idea of the cost.

Deposits: Many people ask about deposits. I don't take any deposits until you choose a kitten. When the kittens are about 3 to 4 weeks old I will send pictures to all the people that have been ask to be placed on our kitten waiting list. Those responding first will have first choice. This seems to work for me :) I have found that, due to life, things happen. Maybe they have already gotten a kitten, changed their minds, or purchasing a kitten can't be done because of finances. I understand but when I email I don't get any response and don't know if my email were received or gone to spam. I have decided not to worry about it. :)

Sasha hasn't been bred yet, we are still waiting for Mother Nature. :) Because the litter will be later than expected, some of the people that I had on the waiting list for this litter have decided not to wait. Summer 2012 we are planing a breeding between Sal and Katie. This breeding has the possibility to produce kittens in colors of Blue, Blue/White, Cream, Cream/White, Blue/Cream, Dilute Calico, Hi-White or Van. I'm very excited to see what we will have. TICA registered.

I am soooo happy. I received the results from the DNA testing on all our cats last week.
Sal, Hugger, Sasha, Katie and Sweetie are all negative for PKD, and longhair genes.

Maou Sweet Willow of Thistlevine gave birth to 5 babies on June 30. I believe that we have 2 girls and 2 boys. This all blue litter is Sweetie's first litter and she is proving to be a great Mom. The International Cat Association GL Regional Awards - 2010-2011

I am excited to say that, although I was only able to go to a couple of show this year, that our cats did well.
The following awards were earned by our boys Sal and Hugger.

Trucker moved to a loving forever-after retirement home. Thank you to the King family for opening your home to this wonderful guy. Blessings to you all.

We are very happy to announce that Rustling Trucker of Thistlevine is TICA's International Best British Shorthair. Trucker was shown in only six shows this season and finished 3rd Best Cat in Great Lakes Region, 2nd Best Shorthair Cat and Best of Breed British Shorthair.

His International award are - International 14th Best Shorhair, International Best British Shorthair, and International Best of Color - Blue/White
I am so proud of his accomplishment. He has the best personality, size, type and coat of any Brit I have seen. I love him to pieces. :D

Trucker the Magnificent

Rustling Trucker of Thistlevine earned his Supreme Grand Alter at the South Bend, IN show.

He made over 6,000 points in just 3 shows. We hope he has earned enough points to qualify for a Regional Win as well, which will then give him a Life Time Achievement Award.

Nov. 17-18, 2007

Regional went to his first kitten show in Portage , IN. He was almost 6 months old, which is late for a first show. Normally they start showing at 4 months.

Reggie did a great job and seemed to enjoy all the handling, and he enjoyed all the spectators that stopped by to see him. He earned enough point to be Best Kitten in Show.

I had planned on keeping Reggie for our breeding program and wanted to hang on to him to see how he developed. He is very much like his dad(Trucker) with a sweet disposition and loves to sit in your lap and be near you. I have decided that since I have his dad it won't benefit me to use him for breeding so he is now looking for a forever home. He needs someone to love on him. He gets along with all the cats and dogs and will make a perfect show/pet cat for someone.

Trucker, also went to the show. He is an old hand at showing and he earned over 2000 points and was Best Cat in Show. I'm very proud of my boys.
